About GigProfitMath
GigProfitMath builds free calculators for people who earn money outside a regular paycheck.
Why this site exists
Delivery drivers, rideshare drivers, shoppers and online creators get one number from their app or platform: what they were paid. The costs and taxes that come out afterwards are left for each person to work out, and the rules change every year. We turn those rules into simple tools so you can see the real picture before you decide how to spend your time.
Who we are
GigProfitMath is an independent publishing project run by the GigProfitMath team. We are not accountants, tax preparers, attorneys or financial advisors, and we do not claim to be. Our calculators use published IRS and Social Security Administration figures and explain each step so you can check the math yourself.
Our editorial standards
- Primary sources first. Yearly figures come from the IRS and SSA. See the methodology page.
- Visible dates. Each page shows when it was updated and when the figures were last verified.
- Honest limits. We say what our estimates leave out and when you should talk to a professional.
- Corrections. If something is wrong, we fix it. Write to hello@gigprofitmath.com.
- No hidden advice. We do not sell tax products or collect your numbers. We are funded by advertising.
How the site is funded
The calculators are free. The site shows advertising from Google AdSense, which is labelled as advertising. Advertisers do not influence our calculations or content. Read our privacy policy for how ads and cookies work.
